Its definately the driver , you can just see him hanging on to the steering wheel as he gets ejected.

Rather lucky.

Lucky guy, Russia again.

it's bad enough having dodgy liscenece and then no real training and a police force that takes a bribe, add drunk to that also and what a stupid place.

This guy was pretty lucky too (Brazil)

He was apparently in the cab for 25 minutes before someone got a rope down to him and he was able to climb up.

Err...... the videos on the opening post link, about a third of the way down the page.

Looks like jumping from the cab is a common escape in Russia...

The truck in front, saw another stopped vehicle (also a truck) and slowed. Rather than stop on the road he decided to cross over AN UNBROKEN LINE into a flat gravelled parking area on the other side of the carriageway. However, being right behind the stopped truck on a curve to the right the driver was in no position to see oncoming traffic (and vice versa) until it was too late. By literally crossing the line, the truck driver will probably have ended up in court and had his license taken away for a period and fined. They are getting tough in Russia eith this sort of thing.

My russian friends all say the same - the chap that mowed down the bus stop recently will face some serious time.

I am heading out there next month and interested to see if it has made a practical difference!

As is, apparently, not using mirrors.

Lucky there wasn't a lake......

Yesterday, on the A96, heading down the twisty bit between Pitcaple and the Inverammsey Bridge (for anyone familiar with the A96) which is controlled by traffic light so tight is it - I encountered a foreign registered artic complete with full length curtain-sider trailer - reversing.
Reversing back up the A96 amidst blind bends and with no guidance.
You lot with three lane motorways for wherever you are going don't know you're born.
