How can i manually check how much fuel in the tank if the gauges arent working?

I just want to know how much fuel is in the car so i dont run out
I would play safe and fill up every 200 miles or so.

Out of habit I always zero the trip when I fill up so I know the range just in case the guage ever packs up. Its a habit you get into with BL era Land Rovers
Just fill it up and work out roughly wha you think you get to the gallon. Most Normal cars will do at least 300 miles to a tank. Play it safe and top up before then!
