Cheshire Mini-GTG Wednesday 2nd June.

Hi Folks,


Does anyone fancy a GTG in Cheshire on Wednesday 2nd June?


Myself and Corned are meeting up and we thought it would be a good idea to meet with anyone else who fancies a bite to eat and a few drinks at a good pub.

There are some decent places to be fed and watered and some are listed below.

The Dog Inn at Peover. LINK.

The Boddington & Dragon at Wilmslow. LINK.

The parking at both places is very good.

If anyone can suggest another venue feel free to add it to the thread.

I had a thought about a Midlands mini-GTG later in the Summer at Milford - which is the Cannock Chase just outside Stafford.

Big car park, pleasant pub, big car park, super fish & chip shop, and the best Wimpy in the world!!

It's a shame I can't make it. I used to be up there every week as I worked for a rather large Pharma company in Alderley and Wilmslow. I even had an office on Water lane at one point. Would have loved to meet up.

Maybe one day I'll be back..!

Astrazeneca is one of the largest site I've visited, although they have been shedding a lot of jobs in the last few years.

It'd be nice to meet up if you ever come back up here.

Probably 6.30 -7.00 although myself and Corned (and possibly Trapperjohn) will be there earlier than that time, say 5.30/6.00.

It was a great place to work. I was there for 12 years and yes they have shed tons of folks out all over the world.

I'll be back at some point I'm sure as I'm doing piece work for various folks there still. Sadly no travel anymore yet..!

Good food, great pub and location - I really must see more of Cheshire.

Great couple of guys too. A real pleasure to meet and share time with Ringway and Corned.

We will meet again at Jay's if not before.
