Child seat with leather seats

My sisters just got a new MB with leather seats.

Before fitting the baby seat for here I thought I'd ask if anyone on here has used an protective foam etc to cushion the leather as it looks as if the leather will get indented/marked due to the pressure of the seat?

I just put a white bath towel , folded over into several layers , under the child seat in my W126 when I had it . Five years later the seat was still unmarked .

It also had the side benefit of absorbing any 'accidents' that escaped from the child seat , as well as catching crumbs and other fall out .

I bought a couple of child seat protectors from Halfords which I keep in the boot. I only have to ferry my grand kids occasionally, so it's a quick job to pop the seat protectors on before the car seats.
