Hi folks,

I'm new to this site (as of today).
Was first looking for info as I busted my gearbox on friday and was waiting for the diagnosis from my buddy's transmission workshop.
Ends up the gearbox was wrecked!

Anyway, since i now have shelled out best part of a grand for the repair work:mad:, i was thinking about getting a chip for it.

Have heard that the torque converter can only really take the torque the engine currently provides but this seems debated some.

Any recommendations on a simple chip that won't cause the car to start eating fuel like a tramp on a ham sandwich and give me a decent power gain without killing another box?

Welcome...

Depending on how the gearbox turns out and the value of your C - just wondering if it wouldn't be better to think about changing to a more powerful car to start with?

More powerful would be good, but with a baby and new job 38miles away from home, i need the economy.
I've seen a few chips on e-bay, but not sure... Any ideas?

thanks

2002.
How much am I gonna gain from it?

Is your one for sale new/used? how old? how much? etc
