Ref B&Q...

Add to that the fragility of the CNY, Golden week etc plus the fact that more people than ever will be spending Christmas at home in the UK and you can see why everyone wants to have enough stock

Trouble is that people are still buying more stuff than usual so the space usually put to on side for Christmas tat isn't available

PS I've had my first mince pie.......

Frank Kelly (aka Father Jack) did a pretty good version.

Haha. Fab. Thanks for that pal. 👏👏👏

Some 11 or so miles from me is the Summerhill Garden centre
More of an everything shop than a real garden centre.
This year (and every year) they had their huge Xmas display up and running on the late August bank holiday weekend
AUGUST for Gods sake!

I refuse to go there . . . . .ever

that's the one I was talking about in my post

The mince pies in my nearest supermarket have a best before date of...

13 November....

Which ties in with an order for Waitrose Classic Mince Pie stock allocations at a nearby store...

  • 5% of total volume will arrive on 7th Oct dated BBE 11th Nov (some stores will not receive stock to protect waste)
  • 5% of total volume will arrive on 28th Oct dated BBE 11th Dec
  • 40% of total volume will arrive on 11th Nov dated BBE 27th Dec
  • 50% of total volume will arrive on 25th Nov, dated BBE 6th Jan

Don’t do Xmas in the B household, unless my hand is forced. 😠

My kids are even coming round to my way of thinking 😂

Sinister?
Not doing xmas is not sinister, it's comforting
Bah Humbug should be recognised for what it is, the majority view
