Very wise advice!!! When I changed my centre caps I found that both my rear wheels had bonded themselves to the rear hub, a job I had planned taking 45mins to an hour tops turned into a 3 hour exercise.Will said:Just jack it up and take the wheel off! Only takes 5 minutes a wheel. Gives you an opportunity to clean the crud off the inside too, and inspect the tyre for damage.
Also guaranteed not to mark the centre cap or damage the wheel - I reckon the time it takes to mess around with meths, glue gun and dowel would be longer!
