Changing my chrome bits to gloss black, quoted nearly 600£ to buy from merc!

Looking to see how everyone's vinyl bits have held up, any issues at the car wash? Do they fade?

Paint or wrap what's the preference?
How much did it cost you to have the wrapped, or painted.

I'm interested in how well a gloss black wrap of the window chrome would last too. Looks awesome in youtube videos when it's done, but for how long?!

Yes, harsh chemicals applied inappropriately is not going to be kind to the wrap or your paintwork...

Been meaning to wrap the chrome on mine for a while but still bit got round to it. @Big1Jim has done a great job on his... maybe he can advise on your question...

Chrome window surrounds deleted with high gloss black vinyl wrap, plus the chrome strip on the boot. Next up; black badges, black door handles and possibly carbon fibre bonnet.

I just carefully removed all the trim and slowly applied the wrap to each piece. I used thin strips but if I were to do it again, I'd buy a big sheet so that I didnt have any bends (creases) around the angles.

I used a hair dryer to get the wrap warm and pliable.
