Would it make for a good day out / retail therapy? I am thinking of taking the family via euro tunnel at some time during the school holidays. If it's all beer and cigarettes, then I'm not likely to bother going.

Cite Europe is a nice place, apart from one draw back, the Brits go there!!

Seriously though, it is a nice shopping centre, not that big, but also not all wine and beer stores, its also handy from the tunnel, (next door). http://www.day-tripper.net/

Also consider popping down to Boulogne, about 15 miles, take the kids to Nausica.
