Looks like my wiring has stretched as the auto boot close doesn't work and the motor is fully operational (been in to Merc to check)
They want to strip out the boot and put new wiring in. Is this a simple job ? I'm pretty handy with a screwdriver (fitted flappy paddles and wood leathe steering wheel with no probs) so if I can do it my self and save a few £100 I'm happy to do so.
Looks like it's the same problem that occurs with the CL doors, in that the wiring loom gets some aggro due to the constant opening/closing.
