CL203 Facelift instrument cluster - No EML / CEL

So I have a facelift 2006 C-Class Sports Coupe, and when turning the key and allowing all lights on the cluster to illuminate the only light missing is the Check engine or Engine management. So I have a couple of questions ..

1. Are these just bulbs that need replacing or Fixed LEDs? What’s the likely repair?
2. Is it likely that it’s just been taped over?

There was a couple of issues with my engine (checked with diagnostics) that have now been fixed and now want this light working for future incidents.

Hi Ricky,

I’ve just brought the same car and also having the same issue, didn’t realise it wasn’t working until I had a couple of problems with the car,
How did you find out about fixing yours?
