I am puzzled by finding these two apparently uninsulated wires just behind the headlamp assembly. They look purposefully uninsulated and come out of plastic tubes (more like an accelerator cable for instance) but terminate in an electrical connector.

See picture. Can someone explain what the are?!!

Are you sure they are not fibre optic Canbus type connectors--- for some option that's not fitted to your car.

I did wonder if they might be but I thought that was restricted to the audio stuff. I can't see that would be routed out to the front of the car.

Only a guess but seeing as the plug connectors are yellow are they part of the trigger for the airbag in a frontal collision?

Looks like a heater cable for the washers

They are not CAN wires.

It is very likely (as Nigel said) that they will be heater wires of some kind.
