Hi Everyone,

I have a CL500 with harsh suspension. There is no warning on the dash and the fluid level does not overflow. There are suggestions of accumulator issues but I would like to know if anyone has resolved their similar problem with new accumulators. I've seen a few owners posting problems but not viewed any solutions. Hopefully I missed them.

I don't know is you have read Alexander's post ( alexanderfoti ) if not a interesting post. He mentions accumulators and in fact he has done a "How To"

My car is a CL500, 2001 year, W215 model.

Peter, excuse my ignorance but how to I view the Alexanderfoti posts.

By clicking on this link :)

Its a long thread, my ride quality is very good. Every fix made a small difference to ride quality. Part of my problem was that I was expecting too much of a car on 19 inch alloys and rubber band tyres and 2, the car was on and off ramps a lot which unsettles ABC, it takes a long while to get the ABC to settle again.

Thanks Alexanderfoti, I think I'll go for front and rear accumulators and a fluid change.
I also have 19in alloys (Denebolas) but the suspension was smooth now gradually turned very harsh.

Do check the state of the front shock mounts as well as the bushes underneath
