CL500 - hints and tips

Hello,

I am seriously considering selling my 2005 Lexus GS430 and buying a CL500.

I would appreciate any buying advice - particularly when any facelifts were made and when the 7-speed gearbox was introduced.

I would also appreciate any hints or tips regarding the best options / common faults or anything else benefical to do with the car.

Lastly, any info on running costs and the value of the Mercedes warranty.

Try a search for 'CL500' or 'W215' / 'C215'. Quite a few people have looked at buying one and there is plenty of information to be found.

It is worth having a look at http://www.wisebuyers.co.uk

From the Quick Car Selection choose Mercedes then CL (1999-2006). It gives you a general view on the car but if you scroll down there is a specifications section which allows you to select a particular year and model. This should give you the specification information you want.
