Hello people, Iv been advised i need to replace my Hydropneumatic suspension damper n/s/r. Should I replace both rear ones or just the one thats needed? Can anyone point in to the right direction for refurbished one? there are lots advertised in the states, are they compatible for UK models? Thanks in advance for your help.

See if you can get hold of part numbers from your dealer. It's always much safer searching by part numbers than description, especially when there are different markets and different years involved

The saving grace of ABC is that because the damping of the body movement is carried out by the active hydraulics a new strut should have the same damping characteristics as an old one. Consequently, you don't have to replace the struts in pairs.

Although there is a passive damper in the strut, it's main job is NVH damping and as such is less significant.
