    Afternoon gents  <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>
    I have noticed that autotrader(and other sources) have a number of 1992 - 1995 CL500's(or S500/SEC Coupes depending) for less than £15,000.
Are these deemed a bargin(if looked after correctly in the past). Many have 80k+ miles(some with 100K+).

Or is this the age(or mileage) when expensive things need replacing?
V12 I noticed your CL600 for sale has had a replacement engine was this due to a known issue?
Any info would be greatly recived.
    Trev.
UK model similar to this would be very, very nice...........

I wouldn't say a bargain, as they are still expensive to run compared to other cars in the same price range. However for 'bang for the buck' they are good value. Just be prepared to take out shares in Esso (the big 4 valve engines were quite juicy) and have deep pockets if something goes wrong.

They are still depreciating, although not as much, but expect to loose upto 5-6k in a couple of years. Remember on these type of cars, it's a buyers market.

Hope this helps - they are very nice cars.

    It has got to be a 600! <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>

No known issues that i know about, But beware a new engine for the V12 will set you back £22,000 and still a sufficient amount for a V8.

These cars are well worth the money, once you have driven one, anything else drives like a fiesta.

You can get loads of &nbsp;CL's under £15K and you have been able to for about a year if you know where to look.

They are not depreciating very much at the moment, just very very VERY slowly.

Heres a pic of a real CL : [IMG]
