CL55 AMG Front Bumper Replacement

Hi all,

Over the weekend I had the misfortune of going into the back of my friends car which has ruined my bumper completely.

I cannot seem to find replacements in the UK anywhere.

Am I right in thinking that the E55 W211 has a similar bumper which would fit the W215?

Any help would be really appreciated because I hate seeing my car looking like a wreck

No, they're a completely different chassis.

as KH has said its not a cheap replacement, how badly is it damaged?

Why not go for a upgrade with lip spoiler?

Oh dear, bumper looks to be the least of the worries there. It may be easier to replace the bonnet than to try and repair that section, and either the headlight mountings are smashed or the underlying metalwork they attach to is rather bent.

Well I would have thought the bonnet would repair and so could the bumper,I suppose it depends on how much you can buy them for,as front end accidents go it is minor,I would take it to a body shop and get them to quote.

Bonnet is bent from the inside causing the grill to be completely snapped.

Bonnet I can get for £180
Grill for £80

Phoned up Mercedes and they quoted 920 plus VAT for a bumper which is very high!!

Bumper brackets have also bent causing the whole bumper to be pushed down hence the gaps in between the bonnet and bumper so getting a quote from Mercedes to see about replacements.

Does it have to be from CL55? I've seen couple of MB CL bumpers on eBay going cheap.

It doesn't need to be from a CL55 as long is just fits my car... Im finding it quite difficult to find without having to go direct to main dealer.

ONLY a CL item will fit. Anything else won't fit properly & look hideous!
Do some research on plastic bumper repairers etc, there must be companies that specialise in this kind repair. You have one of MB's finest cars ever made, IMHO, maintain/repair it accordingly.

I will do some further research into repairs instead of replacements... thank you very much for your help!
