cl600amg 2000
Hi guys
Well the first problem with the lovely cl600 (2001) bought in August.
Me thinks the water pump is on the way out as there is a lot of rattling comming from the front end , one of the belts seems to be running quite untrue and the temp is easing its way slightly higher (over the 80 mark)
Thats about the extent of my mechanical knowledge or diagnositc ability.
Its going in to a local ( non MB ) in the morning. If it si the pump would they be able to replace it being they are non MB? What sort of labour hours should I expect? Is there anything they should do at the same time?
Any advice would be much appreciated

I'd take it to a Mercedes specialist and only a Mercedes specialist

Having star diagnostics would help.

I had the water pump and belt changed on my s600 (M120 though) at an indy using genuine MB parts and the bill was £752 if that helps as guide. Of that I think the pump itself was around £350 +vat.

I'd be very careful driving it if it's noisy and the temp is rising as a failure at motorway speeds could bbq the engine and kill the car.
