Could it have crashed in Germany? No one would take such a nice car around the 'ring would they? ;)

Are you referring to the grey car at the bottom of this picture? if so I reckon it is a Mercedes and the model number is on the tip of my tongue :):o

That's the one John. I've seen that model recently in a mag but just can't recall the name!

Not sure John, the rear door window has a vertical split in the grey car?

Agreed but I wonder if that is a year thing? There used to be a forum member that had the username pontooner, me thinks he would know!

I do have a reference book somehere and will have to dig it out :o but I reckon we are not to far out.

John

this breaker is in belgium.

Yes it is in Belgium, I've visited that yard, it's where I buy bits for my SEC, where the new engine came from also.

The place is massive, Each one of the cages in the picture holds a brand new factory turn key engine, they stack all the way to the ceiling and there's row after row of them.

There were a couple of 600 pullmans in there as well as all sorts of unusual and low mileage original cars.

The chap that runs the place (Mark) is quite pleasant and is clearly an enthusiast as he has a great deal of rare cars there He simply won't sell.

It is an absolute goldmine for parts as he has access to the main factory in Germany (He used to own a main dealership and has close ties with Mercedes) so He buys all end of line stuff, there were 1200 front wings for W126's when I was over there last time....pallet after pallet of them.

Here one is listed:-

Factory New W211 E500 motor, complete Euro 3,600
