CL65 v Ferrari 360

my dad's exact words were - CL65...... the last great merc...... dont quite know what he meant but definitely a compliment - he misses owning a Mercedes since I stole his off him - home from home doesnt matter how bad your day is - just sinking into the drivers seat of a merc starts easing the pressures of life straight away........

AND YOU GOT A BIBL**DYTURBO!!! :bannana:

just learnt he is changing it in two weeks for a brand new one in black - bit gutted - havent had the opportunity to drive this one yet :( he is waiting for the revised 06 model and if he changes now overall he loses the least amount of dosh.

I would love to hear yours in anger :) - ill try and get a video of it driving off when it comes back in a week starts like a formula one car (cant help but giggle like a school kid then) listened to your videos the 65 has a lovely burble to it! You gonna keep it then - now that you have a permanent smile plastered on your face :)

Hi Maff,
before I bought my S Class in Germany a friend of mine who has a classic Jaguar dealership out there and is a qualified TUV tester fully inspected the car for me. Jurgen is a little nuts. He rang me after inspecting the car to let me know the car was perfect but could benefit from a new front screen because of the miriad of stone chips from the autobahn's. He said that he did not go much over 270 kph as the roads were still a little icy from the night before. A month or so later I spoke to Jurgen again and he told me that he had recently driven a new CL65. What did you think I asked, He reckoned the Brabus was quicker mainly because it does not have to go through a series of electronic computations before it goes. With the Brabus the throttle pedal is connected by old fashioned cable and normally aspirated. Who knows you may get a shock, best regards, graeme

Is the processing time really that noticable I wonder?

You know the saying, 'theres no replacement for displacement' ;)

The 7.3 Brabus engine certainly is no slouch, and I always remember one of the first Evo magazines testing the Brabus 7.3s EV12, it was an absolute rocket.

I'd love to see how the SV12 you've got goes, as they are all absolute beasts. :D :D
