Cla rattle

So I now have a rattle coming from what seems is behind the steering wheel only started this morning when cold. Also a rattle which seems to be from the rear view mirror area. Any ideas my car is cla 2019

Hello and welcome. do you have sunglasses or any other object in the sunglasses compartment adjacent to the rear view mirror ?

Sunglasses compartment! Where is that and no mate I haven't. It's the rattle I heard this morning that was most concerning on a car with 500 miles on it

500 miles? Take it back to the dealer and ask them to check it out.
Did the rattle disappear once the cabin had warmed up? These things can be very difficult to diagnose..

I've not tried it since the noise if it's still there it will be going back

Drove home and steering noise has gone! For today anyway

Creaking back again it's definitely from plastic cover behind steering wheel. Only when it's cold and I put heaters on

That's my intention I just like to make sure they don't fob me off cheers

I've found the culprit for one of my rattles. It's the actual rear view mirror when on an uneven road. It will stop if I hold the mirror but I can't replicate the noise when stationary. Any ideas on a quick fix it seems solid enough unless it's something inside it
