I have returned today from Class Cars, Wingham, near Canterbury, Kent, totally delighted with the service and pricing.
This was the first time I have ever stepped outside MB main dealers for repairs/servicing.
Friends CL55 AMG with no sound from radio/cd/sat nav etc and a MB dealer thought it was possible amplifier problem and quoted £859 for new one, £134 labour all plus VAT, if this was the problem.
Steve at Class Cars presented with car and problem. He painstakingly examined system and found fault to be Linguatronic ECU down. He held a 'German' version in stock which he installed at no charge until UK version is sourced. Invoice £193.20 inclusive, quite amazing value given the time spent on the vehicle and stripping out of seats etc to resolve this problem.
Needless to say, my personal vehicle will now go to Class Cars for all work and I know my brother will also follow.
No longer will I be mugged by main dealers when guys like Steve and Danny exist. First time in a long while I felt confident with work being done by people who know what they are doing and with some pride and committment to client.
