Class w204 2013 grill query

After a little incident with a robin, some of the mesh has broken in the silver star. Are these units all built in?

Can't really afford a new unit as I have not long bought the car..
Any helpin appreciated

They are pretty easy to remove if you wish to take it out and effect a custom repair with some plastic/metal mesh of your own? Caution there are plastic clips involved so take your time FEEL YOUR WAY AND DON'T FORCE ANYTHING!! this vid is about the headlight units but shows the grille removal on a 6 cylinder car.[YOUTUBE]XU6bSJ-b0mk[/YOUTUBE]
