what car made the most impact on you 1. the mini mk1 2 the lotus mk1 cortina 3. golf mk1 gti
4. audi quattro turbo 5. rs 500 cozy

Of those, the Cossie as I ended up marrying Mrs D after she mentioned her Dad had one when we were in the school playground. So that's a fairly big impact!!??

Of course we didn't marry in the playground, we waited until we were grown ups and everything.

Mk1 Lotus Cortina out of the cars mentioned....

But if I was making my own list, it would go:

1) Ford Capri 280 Brooklands
2) Fiat Super Mirafiori
3) Ford Cortina MK3 2000E
4) Mercedes R107 SL
5) BMW 635CSI

Not in any order, but up there with my favs.

Come to think of it...

When I first passed my test, a mate sold his R5 GT Turbo and bought a beautiful Audi 20v Quattro. It wasn't running quite right, and ended up selling the leather interior so he could afford the spark plugs!! :D

He ended up selling it a year or so later, sans interior!!

So that had a fairly big impact on him!!

From the list, the rs500

From my previously owned list

Hillman Imp Monte Carlo spec
VX Firenza HPE
Chevette HS
Chevette HSR :D

Not in any particular order ....

CRX VTEC ( 1991-93 )

Honda NSX Type R

Mk1 Golf GTi

Capri 2.8 Injection

560 SEC W126

five iconic cars of the 60s 70s 80s may not the best but all made a mark like the first hot hatch ect

From your list the Original hot hatch wins it for me, although i wouldn't mind any of them for a weekend car now

Golf Gti for me,
I even saved the original rebuilt engine out of it, can't seem to part with the memory
