I've found Adrian Flux and Peter Best - are there any other comparable classic specialists to consider?

At the moment Peter Best is by far the best price for the R129 we are buying.

I've phoned several classic insurers in recent days, and for me at least, Footman James are good, as they are the only one of the companies who will accept under 21s as main drivers on the car I was enquiring about. That point has proven to be a real problem. However, I have a friend who is insured with Peter James insurance and he says they were very reasonable. I know my father has used Peter S Taylor many times in the past for his classic and has been very impressed with them, so I'd recommend giving them a try too.

Mine are all with footman james... cheapest every year... and if you join the official mercedes club you get more discount.

They insure my 1991 500SL agreed value, only costs £200 per annum
