Classic Merc Services / bodywork: Leics

Hi there

I have recently moved house to Leicestershire (nr. Market Harborough) and wonder if anyone knows of any good independent classic merc garages? I have a 1982 R107 380SL and prefer people who know what they're doing when fiddling with her!!

Currently needs brakes, bit of body repair, new exhaust and then ongoing servicing...

Any ideas? Gratefully receieved. Also prepared to travel a bit too.

Mercland in nuneaton? that isnt too far. last time i was there they had a lot of older mercs and im sure they know a lot about them.

AMG garage in Hinckley on nuts lane. It stands for all makes garage but nick has worked for mb many year before setting up on his own and deals with a lot of old and new mercs. Very friendly.

MB Automotive Monarch Way Loughborough.Off Belton Road in the industrial estate across the road from Mercedes-Benz of Loughborough. Got all the equipment and MB trained. Went in and had chat when they first opened seemed OK. Was considering moving from official dealer after a disagreement but in the end decided to stay and since they made some changes have had no problems and would recommend them.

Of course there is always the SL Shop at Redditch the specialists - not too far away and they will collect as will Loughborough.
