Classic SL R107

I expect it will , my W126 did . They can all be converted though , by a competent specialist . Of course , not all 107's will have AC , at least UK RHD ones .

I expect it too. So, if the AC is not working & needs re-gas, it will have to be converted; what is needed & is this an expensive job??

Usually , from memory , a new receiver/drier , some seals changed , the system purged and regassed - I think somewhere in the middle hundreds ?

That's good news!

Be aware that any 107 fitted with aircon makes that car soooo much more difficult to repair should it turn out to have bulkhead damage or if the heater flaps need attention (common fault with age). This is because the aircon grubbins is fitted 'on top' of the heater air-blend flaps and has to be stripped out to gain access. Heater flaps have a foam lining which deteriorates with age, a reasonably easy job to renew but not if there is aircon.

The aircon on mine has not worked since i bought the car. Not bothered to fix it as the R107 is only for driving with the top down . Unless you live in Scotland , when you have to keep the roof permanently up , because if its not raining , it means its snowing .
