Video: Driver's terrifying crossing of floating bridge in Russia goes viral - Telegraph
Nice and considerate of the lorry driver, eh!
After all that he actually lost time due to having to go back to recover the car.
To be fair he did come back to help - He could have driven on. The truck obviously submerged the bridge more than the lighter cars. The white Lada?? appeared to have stopped/ flooded before the lorry came along and was the reason the grey car stopped on a relatively high floating section of the bridge. To be honest if I was a lorry driver crossing that bridge with a heavy vehicle I would be very reluctant to stop anywhere- for anyone!! The secret being to keep moving if at all possible. Its a bit like driving snow on steep hills maintaining momentum is the secret -----stop at your peril.:fail
Good point grober. By the time the pontoons have had time to sink, you've moved on.
