Morning all!

I am planning to replace the air filters on my S320 (MY2000, W220) this weekend as the ones that are in there currently are cheapo non MB ones. During this job I was planning to give things a general clean especially the throttle body and butterfly valve etc. From memory this car has a rubber (or is it plastic) valve which I seem to remember looked pretty flimsy. Is there a standard procedure for cleaning this or perhaps can someone offer me and advice on how best to go about this? I have some throttle plate cleaner spray and was planning to use this to give everything a good spray and general clean-up.

Not done it on this car so would appreciate any tips or advice!

I took mine off and cleaned it with carb cleaner and a toothbrush, BUT it took the car over 50 miles to relearn the throttle settings, was ok to drive just very high idle speed.

Should have removed it from manifold but NOT unplugged it from the loom and i would probably have been okay.

Pretty dirty.
