over the last few days of my christmas break i want to clean up my w210, just wanted abit of advice :)
im going to try a maf/egr delete when i research how to do it, going to try the boost raising resister i read about in the morning,
but does anyone know how to make my yellow lights clear again?
also a set of new front wings, what kind of price will these be?
and id love a set of 18" monoblocks if i can find some cheap enough

id be very happy to hear of anymore help/tips/advice on making it look and go better

Hi there,

In terms of your replacement wings, depends on if you want to go with OEM or pattern parts. Pattern parts would be markedly cheaper but then you the question of reliability and durability.

Pattern parts will be harder to get the gaps looking good on.

Having said that, afte the 210 went out of production, the quality of the wings we got through went down hill remarkably.

Get yourself a set of replacement wings from breaker, get them blasted, primed, sealed, painted(you'll probably have to blend the front doors for colour) waxed and put them on.

I've has two of these E300TDs.
They all suffer front wing corrosion.
You'll be lucky to find a good pair of wings from a UK scrap-yard.

My present car (See attachment) has two new wings bought earlier this year from Euro Car Parts for about £75 each.
Bit of a fiddle to fit, but you can achieve a reasonable job with a bit of care.

thanks for the help already, i think it will be pattern parts as, like said, the originals dont seem to last very well, £75 doesnt sound bad and your car looks nice, same colour as mine but i dont have the folding mirrors :( does anyone know about cleaning the lights? i read toothpaste does it and im about to go out ant try it right now, thanks guys

there is a topic here about the light I am sure. Fine grid wet paper and rubbing paste does the trick. Need a lot of elbow grease tho...

ive just found that thread, thanks anyway, im going to try everything, they look so much better clean
