Has anyone on here had any experience with the MEYLE HD front suspension arms? Ive just bought a 2008 CLK CDI Sport and they need doing but im wondering if the non liquid filled heavy duty arms from MEYLE will be a but harsh and if they last well. I would normaly go with Lemforder but there seems to be a few issues with some of their bits not being made in Germany and the quality is suffering. Cheers.

I had two parts fron this company, and that both failed in 6 months ..
Were these Meyle, or the Meyle HD version (which I think by the fact they have launched it, is almost an admission that their standard components are the best in the quality/longevity department)?

Meyle hd track rod ends I fitted to my VW Passat , 15 years ago anything else only lasted a year . They are not a new thing at all . If you look at how the hd range is made using larger ball joints and nylon/plastic innards , they take alot more punishment than standard parts. Not sure what you mean by liquid filled arms tbh. Most are simple greased packed ball joints . !

Lemforder was bought out by the zf group ,who also owns trw, so lemforder bits can come from anywhere these days.

I fitted some HD front control arms on the CLK about 5 years ago with no issues .

Do/did they give a harsher ride? Ive read on a BMW forum that they can be a bit harsh at first but eventually become less so after abt 6 mth.

What parts were they?

I would say maybe slightly firmer than original ? But not a lot in it .
