CLK 200 w208 clutch/diff problem?

Hi guys,

I've been spying on here for a while but didn't really contribute.

I'm the proud owner of a 2000 clk200, avantgarde edition, manual trans.

The problem I've been facing for a while is that the clutch isn't very smooth.

I have to really play with the throttle/clutch to make a smooth departure.
It's the same with reverse, it's a very bumpy ride in 1st and reverse.
I never made much of it but a few days ago something else came up, the back wheels would spin a bit, regardless of how little throttle I gave.
I've only had it once, and the ESP warning light came on briefly.

The car hasn't given me any other problems, I just need to fix a blowing exhaust.

Any help at all, your thoughts are very appreciated!!

The clutches are very springy on MB's. It could be that there is no fault with it at all. Get a Mercedes technician to have a drive of it.

Do you have good rear tyres? Cheap tyres will slip.

So it could be normal? The tyres are uniroyals and they have little wear on them.
Normal rims and no mods whatsoever.
