CLK 208 Fan Regulator, how to fit?

I notice that quite a few MB's suffer from fan regulator failure, but has anyone out there changed one on a W208 CLK with std A/C?

Also I note that MB want £115 plus vat for a new regulator but Eurocarparts only £80 inc VAT. Anyone know the difference, I assume there are not to many manufacturers...

Where is this regulator? Is it this silly thing with the heatsink?

If so the removal instructions are here (works for 202 and 208, maybe others!)
