clk 230 2000 5speed manual
hi everyone a few things have been doing my head in trying to work out faults with my car
when accelerating at any rpm and letting go of the pedal the revs hold there then drop very slowly, when reving seems slightly less responsive and mpg seems to have dropped slightly
back in the summer on hot days and randomly it revved itself to around 2k rpm and held there and made drivng difficult but did this a few times and hasn't since summer maybe connected dont know?
no fault codes or engine lights
but on long term fuel trim it stays at -10 or-15 cant remember but wont budge, short term is fine on the graph
02 sensor may be the culprit and picking one up today

I have owned the car a year now and have done the following within that year
air flow
cam position sensor
oil breather pipes and valve on both sides
coils, plugs and caps
fuel filter
throttle body
recirc valve

no intake leak

I haven't checked crank sensors yet

if anyone has had a similar problem let me know what the problem is please or suggestions thanks michael

Oil in loom?

O2 sensors faulty?

Codes mean diddly without values. Live data is what you need on a Star.

changed the 02 sensor and thermostat, yesterday and it is warming up faster and seems to have better mpg but still revs drop slowly
the only oil was on the cam magnet plug but that has been cleaned and will need a new one soon
on live data all figures are good except for long term fuel trim as it stays at a constant -3.91
will need to plug in a star unit at some point

hey
checked everything and is ok, but I have noticed now that after changing various stuff when it warms up to 80-85deg the revs drop faster when decelerating but still not 100%

it does it even when controlled from the accelerator sensor, anyone suggest the overload relay or k40? I'll prob pick one up tomorrow
