Hi not had the car long but checking out supercharger. I know a bit about turbos but superchargers 0. So no cluch on mine so it's turning all the time also removed inlet to see flap working well moving then snaps shut. Anyway how do you know it's working.
Cheers all and happy New year.

What year is the car?

As you probably know the main component regulating boost is the bypass valve which recirculates some or all of the kompressor compressed air back to the air inlet instead of the intercooler/maf/throttle body/inlet manifold. Its position is electrically controlled by the engine ECU acting on signals received from a wide variety of engine sensors. Perhaps the main one being the throttle plate position- no sense in supplying boost to a closed throttle plate because it just feeds back to the supercharger causing it to surge. I believe those wanting more boost use an altered diameter drive pulley?
How do you know such a complex feedback control system working? Lack of engine warning lights/absence of fault codes/ no unusual mechanical noise/ absence of leaks on system inspection/ adequate kompressor oil volume.
