CLK 240 Auto W209 humming vibration noise

Hi All,

Just bought a clk 240 Auto W209 Petrol, have a stange humming/vibrating noise when car running, when i take my foot off accelorater the noise stops, it isn't a constant noise but happens a lot. On start up all ok drive about 3 miles and it starts 5 secs then stops then again in maybe 30 secs or even longer. Car starts O.K. noticed that the can can feel a bit jumpy only sometimes when accelorating. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Does it sound like when you go over the rumble strips on the motorway? Is it a dull humm/vibration?

Turned out i had to have a new gearbox, radiator & tourque convertor, what a nightmare. Lucky i had a warrenty phew ! Cost was £2200.00
