Mercedse W209 CLK 240 Avantgarde Cabriolet
:bannana:Hi all

I am a virgin MB owner.I have crossed over from BMW to Mercedes. I took ownership less than a week ago on a 2004 Mercedes CLK 240 Avantgarde Cabriolet.

Please dont hit me with any major negatives as it took me a great deal to convince my better half! I would hate to find out I bought a white elephant! Anyway I love the car!

One question I have is how do I identify the suffix of the model (i.e. W209 etc).

Please be gentle with me!

2004 will be a w209. Should be galvanised as well.

How about some pics of the white elephant.:D

Hi there and welcome to the forum.

As said, it's a '209 CLK', and I think for a cabriolet the 240 engine is fine :)

Nice and smooth, should have enough power for an open-top cruiser

Be sure to post some pics up when you get a moment ;)

I will, and thank you very much for the warm welcome.

How do I add a photo?

Hi,

You can upload them to a free website such as Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket - you then copy the link and paste it into your posts on here. Or you can click on the 'manage attachment' box when you are typing your reply in the main screen, then you can upload a few pics directly to the forum :)

Welcome to the forum. :)

Nice looking car you got there.

Enjoy!

I probably shouldn't ask this so soon, or maybe too late, but should/do I need to look out for anything?
