Hi all, i bought a 2002 clk 500, its all fine and loaded with everything and drives like a new car.

Only a few things i'm not sure of,

the keyless go doesnt seem to work on the drivers side, it opens on the passeger side and boot. Is there a setting somewhere or could it be a fault (handle switch maybe?)

When i close the sunroof, it closes then goes back halfway. Dont know how it goes back, i just keep trying and it closes when i hold 'tilt' after a while.

I have a button on the dash for the rear headrests, doesnt seem to do anything, is it there to be wired in another time?

    Thanks for reading

Star Diagnostics would be my first port of call if I can not see anything obvious.

If i read the manual right, close and hold tilt for a second. Tried that and still the same

I can't remember the exact sequence but it is something like this:

    1. Engine off and key at position 2
    2. Slide sunroof all the way back and hold the switch for 10 seconds after it has slid all the way back.
    3. Slide sunroof all the way foward and hold the switch for 10 seconds after it has slid all the way forward.
    4. Ignition off

Your dirvers side keyless go module is faulty, this will need replacment. (I had this on my E55) - very common because the driver side gets all the use
As for the sunroof, I am not sure, perhaps the runners need a clean and the system needs to be reset?

moonloops, tried that and when i tried to move forward it stopped and went back halfway again. Gonna have to go to mb anyway so might as well get it looked at.

Thanks for the help guys, loving this car. Still in the honeymoon period so lots of cleaning and posing :)

Took the car to a merc specialist today,
It went on a star diagnostic and they reset the sunroof, rear headrests work now and they will take another look at keylees entry when i bring both keys. All for £35, result :)

Gonna stick to them cos the main dealers £118+vat labour charge per hour scared me off!!

Bargain, if your independent garage continues to give good service give them a mention on here. £35 is a bargain.
