clk 55 amg petrol smell and idle issues

hi everybody

Im new to Mercedes as this is only my second one in 9 months, thought id step right in and buy a used clk 55 amg..... whoops nothing like stepping into the deep end! I took it to merc and they cant find any major issues.....? but in the last few days ive had strong petrol smell after driving and idle roughness and last night the throttle seemed to stick as the revs went up to around 2000 when i was parked..?

Car seems to run well when booted and no dash lights or error codes logged, so i dont know where to start really..? throttle sensors, air flow meters, injectors, spark plugs, splits in pipes, fuel pumps....? any help would be great thanks

Get the car on star and get the codes read. Fuel smell is not ideal.

Could be any manor of things. I had a Passat W8 that was doing this and it turned out the seal around the fuel filter was leaking.. the bad idle was air being sucked in and naturally some fuel also leaked out hence the smell.
