Hi,
we have a 2003/04 clk 55 amg convertible that has a fault with the suction fan. When the ignition is turned on whether the engine is running or not the fan is permanently on at full speed and the dash displays the warning "coolant visit workshop". We have put it on the MB Star and it comes up with the following under fault in engine :- P2073-001 electric suction fan for engine or aircon short circuit to positive (p1999) (current and stored) we can not erase the fault. Basics like fuses and relays have been checked, the fan module has been tested and is fine, MB Star advises of a retro fit of a section of loom between fan control unit and plug this has been done. Air con pressure switch has been changed and lower control unit in dash has been tested and has no faults. Everything seems to be pointing to the ecu but at £1186.00 we need to be sure, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
