Hello ,

Looking for someone special to put my engine back where it belongs .

2008 CLK 63 with Weistec Stage 2 charger.

Would prefer to find someone in the UK prior to looking overseas .

Cheers Mike

MSL isn’t an option as they have no one to rebuild engines at the moment .

Did they mention when they would? Reason I say, you obviously need someone with a particular skill set and knowledge base for which MSL tick the boxes, so if waiting is an option, perhaps that may be the way forward.

On a separate note, what went wrong?? :(

Not sure I understand the request..

You want the engine put back to stock?
You want the engine inserting into the engine bay?
You was an engine re-fresh rebuild?

Just curious, did you buy the car with the stage 2 package on the car. Or did you have the package put on the car. If latter can you not take the car to the company that did the work. Also what's up with the car?

Engine was removed by others to have headbolts replaced as a precautionary measure .
Engine then failed.Causing bent valves.Cause too much power for standard internals .
Forged internals purchased from USA along with head resleaved at Dime Racing CA anCylinder head ported and set by Knights Engineering.
Require engine rebuild , tune and refit .
New exhaust system.
New prop and drive shafts fitting .
Biggish job !!!

So you acquired the car with uprated headbolts and tune. That's bad luck on your part. Depending on where you are based. You said you tried MSL in Birmingham to no avail. I have read alot of good info on PCS Horndean in Sussex I think they are based if you look them up they could well guide you in the right direction.

I think he did the upgrades/ tune himself after buying the car.

I can do it I've done a Lego once...

Thanks for the swift reply’s and advice guys .
Upgrades were carried out a few years ago.Its taken me nearly 18 months to get the block resleaved and the forged internals made.
I had a shop in place to carryout the works but unfortunately for personal reasons it’s not possible for them to carryout the refit in the timescale I would like so hence the new search.
Miss the car so much .
Will keep you updated .
Cheers Mike

There must be more to this than that.
Bent valves are rarely caused by too much power. Failed valve train more likely. The same valve train disturbed during the headbolt replacement.
