CLk blower control

Hi all, would anybody know if its possible to convert my CLK digital blower control back to the old faithful manual twist dials?

My digital control is really annoying as it tries to keep to the exact temperature chosen the fans behind are always speeding up and slowing down and make an annoying noise. Maybe its just my car but the blowers make an annoying noise which I never had on my older CLK. There are also digits missing on the LCD which just makes it look cheap so if i'm going to fix it i'd rather change it for the manual ones.

Maybe the unit is faulty. There should not be a particularly noticeable or audible fan speed change unless you are constantly openign and closing the windows or sunroof.

What model MB is it and what year?

its an X reg CLK 320 conv

It must be as mine has the dials not the digital, that is a 2000 X as well.
How much would it cost though, that would be the deal breaker I think!
