CLK CABRIO W208 aerial for telephone

hi

i read (on here i think) that the aerial on the boot of my W208 CLK CABRIO is a telephone aerial aswell as a radio one.

How do i connect my NOKIA CARK aerial to it then? is it just a case of getting a splitter apaptor or something>?

Splitting and using two aerials may cause a problem. The combined radio / phone aerial is limited in the bands and I found the tax disc type much better in poor reception areas.

The combined antenna works fine, but only on low band. This is OK if you use vodafone - but no good for such as Orange that use high band only.....

i am currently on T MOBILE, but thinking of changing to vodafone anyway...

the aerial as is will only work with GSM 900 , but you can get a converter to allow it to work with GSM 1800 too.

You don't need a splitter - there is a cellphone antenna connection socket on the antenna 'base unit'. You need to remove the near side boot trim to get access the antenna, the socket is a standard cellphone connection. Note that the CLK antenna is a powered unit, it also has as 12v supply.

So vodafone is GSM 900 ? my phone does support GSM 900 so all i need is a voda sim card (my fone is unlocked) and i am away?
