Hi I am thinking of purchasing one of the first clk's convertibles that came out and want to know which is the cheapest and best engine to go for in terms of road tax and efficiency. I am thinking of the clk200 kompressor am I right I'm thinking this is the 2.0 supercharged and is the most efficient?. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanksDan

I think you might be barking up the wrong tree if you are looking for budget motoring there are a lot of cheaper ways to go topless!

I dont think that the 320 is that expensive to run, compared to a 2.0 engined car and I drive mine with viguor at times

I have a 320 Coupe which does 26ish mpg locally, 33mpg over 960 miles going to Le Mans last week. Convertables may be a little worse as heavier though. It's just coming up to it's 200k mile birthday and the engine is quiet, smooth and dry.
