I haven't called anyone a muppet?
Friend of mine has an Extreme Ferrari based on a 406. He's not done the interior yet (but has had it seriously tinted) and it's really very very good to look at. Wrong wheel drive, wrong engine, wrong in so many ways but looks great wherever he goes, gets all the attention!

^my attempt at being light-hearted, but expressing dismay at you calling my mate a Muppet...
update on the cat c part of this car, after a long conversation with the owner last night.
the kit was fitted to a completely standard and un molested clk.
the cost was, no joke, 23,000 plus vat to fit the kit originally.
it was the company's show car, and was then sold for circa 30,000
it then got damaged, very slightly.
the insurance company then priced up a repair, but the company wouldn't sell the bumpers for the kit separately, and wanted to refit the new parts, at a silly silly very expensive cost... the car was written off.
the guy sold the car to my mate, who fixed it with some fibreglass, which is his trade, and he has done it immaculately, this could have been done at the factory, apparently, but wouldn't have been classed 'as new repair' (there is slightly more to this, but i cant post it hear)
as a side note, the engine had, what is apparently a common issue of a leaking head, form a sensor hole? which two independent garages attempted to fix, charged loads for, and didnt fix correctly.
the company then dropped the price of the kits to 9000, and apparently, after the call from the potential purchaser last monday, they dropped the price again to 3 grand.
it now gets even more messy, because my mate reckons they have done it on purpose to have him over, because he is gonna start importing the sl65 black, and other dtm kits from usa.
so my mate has/is gonna take a massive kick in the nads with this car, because he paid more than the 12000 he wants back for it.
because now, if you can be ****d, 4000 for a clk (or less?) and 3000 for a kit will build one, 1000 for paint and bang, you have the 'same' car.
as a side note, do some of the proper clk dtm's have totally std interiors?
the example i have been quoted is the one wayne rooney had last year? i aint seen one, but this is what i have been told;
the previous owner caused a massive security issue and was nearly arrested when he took his 'faker' to old trafford, and security thought he was tryin to steal rooneys car!!!
also, it was noted last night that porsche have been sellin 'fake' cars for years, you can buy the smallest engined 911 with the biggest engines body kit on it, and none would say (ok clarkson would) you had a fake car!
in fact, all the people who buy a small engined merc, then tick the boxes for brabus spoilers and rims, or amg whatever add ons, are in effect drivin a fake car.
so it follows that most of the people on hear, me included, i aint tryin to have a go, but nearly all of us are drivin fake cars.

he wants to sell to raise capital to finance the imports of kits for the 65 black. that was why i posted the other day to see what peoples reactions to these kits would be.
thats also why extreame have dropped their prices, and frightened off the potential customer.

The car is repaired to the same show standard, very easy repair for me, I had a major disagreement with the company that sold the DTM a year or two ago, and a few weeks ago I was asked to lend the SL Black kit to the company to copy, but I said no, I don`t rip off peoples work, its a hobby I do not run it as a buisness, The company then told all enquiring bidders the car was Mullered cat C, not to touch it etc, NOT GOOD ! hence my bidders were scared off SIMPLE ! the oil leak was a oil seal around a sensor on the near side head, its a fault I found out about on here, it was sorted by PRESTIGE in Wakefield, they sorted the car fully mechanically.I had taken it to DElaceys Bighouse, they pretended to do the work, and tried to rip me offover £800 having not done it, STEER CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY !!!
When I bought the car kits or parts were not available , only turn key cars, ie: you CLK + £23k build and supply kis /parts.
A month after I got it they started selling kits @ £8995, I put it on EBay Friday 14th Jan, buy Monday the 17th they were advertising kits @ £2995, all because I would not let them copy the SL Black kit !
This car looks 100% exact END OF, ok it may not be a V8, but it sounds awsome, being a replica it comes under kit car insurance very inexpensive all ages ! bargain !
Its just a 320 CLK fair enough," WE PIKEYS " are show n no go , we think looking great cruising slow is for us, going Mach 10 is not what replicas are about, not power ! just the looks.
I have over £15k in this car, I needed the room for the SL build, there are no faults, the winning bidder did not turn up, as the auction was messed with I told him to DO ONE ! no way is this a £10k car, I will keep it I don`t need the cash its room I need, but I aint giving it away.

It was so convincing I had a test drive in a F430 and offered £110k for the replica, after the road test I told the salesman JCT600 LEEDS that it was a replica, he still didnt believe it, I ended up poping the bonnet to show him, If any stupid person says the could spott it a mile off THEY ARE LYING ! if they know any differences , PLEASE PLEASE run away from them, they must be a serious anorack type , they need get a life !

The SL Black will be exact, and I intend to do it exactly as the one on you tube, TYPE IN SL BLACK IN GREY, you will see one in Dubi, my car will be same inside and out,seats dash everything, only tell would be under the bonnet, how many have you seen a car drive past , pulled it over to look under it ?? solid roof TOO !! and under £20k for me to build, yet the real deal ? £250, 000, I hear? my car will turn a profit around £15-£20 K , will yours ????

And must say that Porsche looks spot on, but thought I might aswell tell you if you dont already know...On the internet people can do free Car registration checks, and all they need to carry this check out is the cars reg number.... Maybe a 'some armchair expert' has already done this??... As the 911's reg plate is on full view in the pics...

I have built a 997 Turbo cab, is it this one?? does it look like one similar you may have seen on a website ? That car on the site was one I built indeed, they don`t actually do 997s, infact to the best of my knowledge I am the only one who as , using all Porsche parts, so it was not a replica really in a way , simply a re body conversion, same as Porsche did on the Super Sport , Turbo body everything but not a Turbo Engine, they were classed as car`s not replicas so there is no real difference in what I did to that car,
The thing is ?? Is this car a replica ?? if you say it is how what why etc, the number plate cannot reveal anything , unless you are the Police !!

The dealer at JCT 600 didn`t know and he sold them ,
Perhaps people that know so much, and can spot my cars are fakes real replicas, or whatever,without a doubt facts,
Or maybe could consider getting work for Porsche Lamborghini , ferrari etc as a designer or some expert on design flaws or similar,
I would imagine an eye for fakes would be wanted in many parts of the world in many industries , Just a thought if you need work !
