Hi Can Anybody Let Me Know If On A 2000 Clk 320. If The Passenger Seat Should Slide Forward On Electric Like The Drivers Seat Does When You Push Handle Forward. TO LET PEOPLE IN THE BACK If So Were C\an I Start Looking Many Thanks

my 2000 plate 230 has electric both sides, the black seat feature on the doors - they also move up and down with the same button (found this out the other day!)

I only have semi electric (not the full memory version) on the passenger side.

My passenger seat will move back and forwards if you continue to hold the handle up when opening the seat up, and push down when setting it back to upright.

The memory one does this automatically on the drivers side.

They may also need a reset, you do this by moving the seat all the way backwards then forwards (I think)

Just want to say a huge thank you to gbjeppm for this info - my seats are now working perfectly on my 20 year old CLK.

After the first battery was replaced the seats went on partial strike: I could not move the seat backwards and the courtesy seat shift for the back seat disappeared, but all the other buttons were ok. The memory buttons retained their positions with M3 being for longish legs.
Then it failed the MOT because I couldn't get the seats to go back. I persuaded them that M3 was far enough back for an MOT!
Nothing in the manual about resetting the seats in the same way as the windows and the boot lid - and my friendly Mercedes mechanic didn't know either, but then he was only just a few years older than the car. And yes they did suggest removing the seat etc!!
