As you know when you go to open the doors on a CLK the windows drop a touch, well not when the are frozen they dont. This leaves you with no option but to pull the door open. Problem is when you then shut the door the window doesnt sit in the seal, well not until you can lower the window and re raise it..

Any handy tips to get round this...

As an Eskimo once said ....

You need to make sure that your seal is lubricated properly.

Will the products above actually stop the ice from binding the seal to the glass though?

I had the same problem today

Try rubbing a candle on your door seals.

I use the gummi pflege also after having the same problem last year, works for me but it does need re-applying around once per month during the winter (in my case anyway).

We have a SLK that does the same thing

I used Gummi on the rubber a short while back and Mrs P has not reported any problems.

It improved the tired look of all the old rubber on my E36 too

Had same problem on an Audi TT and our present Alfa Mito and silicone spray works really well
