Hi , recently purchased w208 clk cab with roof problems, in the boot fuse box No5 keeps blowing when fit new 5amp fuse with ingnition off. Any tips welcome!

didn't 1 person have a similar issue with 5 blowing and he had to change a bulb that wasn't working or something?

Try disconnecting the Alarm module, it is on the front N/S behind the wheel arch liner
F4 is the rear Fusebox
5amp fuse feeds H3/1 which is the alarm siren

A scan on Star will show you what limit switch is not allowing the process to complete but work your way thruogh this list and see what part is not happening.

Stage 0
Soft top closed.

Stage 1
Turn the release lever to the right and gently raise the soft top. Then turn back the release lever and fold up.
Keep pressing the soft-top operation switch (S84).
The indicator lamp in the soft-top operation switch (S84) starts to flash on and off (until end of stage 10).

Stage 2
The side windows at the front and rear are opened electrically (if closed beforehand). The roll bar is lowered hydraulically (if raised beforehand).

Stage 3
The soft top bow is unlocked hydraulically.

Stage 4
The soft top bow is pivoted up hydraulically until in an approximately 90° position.

Stage 5
The soft top compartment cover is unlocked hydraulically.

Stage 6
The soft top compartment cover is pivoted upward hydraulically.

Stage 7
The soft top bow is moved hydraulically into the soft-top compartment.

Stage 8
The soft top is moved hydraulically into the soft-top compartment.
The temperature sensor (B10/4b1) for the air conditioning is automatically switched to ground potential by the roll bar (RB)/ soft-top operation control module (N52).

Stage 9
The soft top compartment cover is pivoted downward hydraulically.

Stage 10
The soft top compartment cover is locked hydraulically.

Stage 11
The roll bar is raised (if not raised beforehand) and the side windows at front and rear are closed (if not closed beforehand). The indicator lamp in the soft-top operation switch (S84) goes out.

Top-up times for the hydraulic cylinders
Even after the individual limit switch positions have been reached, the corresponding hydraulic cylinder still remains actuated for a short time to compensate for tolerances of the limit switch switching points.
