clk gearbox

Hi, does anyone know if a CLK W209 2006 2.2 cdi gearbox will fit into a CLK W209 2003 2.7cdi as my gearbox has gone down the dreaded valeo radiator path, ie glycol in the transmission oil.

Hi, has your gearbox had major damage with large metal chunks in the sump? The reason Im asking is that I have seen many cars with the issue and only replaced the radiator, flushed the transmission oil and replaced the filter, only once have I changed a torque converter and I have never replaced a gearbox. I actually own a s211 that has done 70000 miles since I changed the rad and flushed and had zero issues.

All seals have been affected, cant get any gears at all , fitter said its one of the worst they had seen, said he thinks the owner before had changed oil and filter after having glycol check and got rid of it quickly onto some poor expecting punter, ME!!
