Bear in mind that the foglamp may be on the other side of the car for LHD vehicles. OEM tail lamps have the foglamp on both sides but your car's wiring will only run to one side.

I am not trying to alarm you, just to make you aware

Also those lamps are probably from Germany, even if they are being sold in USA.

Hi All,

I'm new to this forum. I bought a pair of these last Thursday from on Ebay the USA. Seller reckons delivery will be 5 days. I'll keep you posted about what they're like and how they fit.

They look good as they look sharper BUT the quality and fitment will not be as good as the OEM lenses! My guesses are that the lights are most likely manufactured in the far east and not Germany as this is the case for many after market cosmetic products that are retailed in the US.

I didn't say they would be made in Germany, not even MB lamps are made in Germany! It is likely the lights are designed and specified by a German tuning company then built in the far east

i am a production manager, i deal with product from the far east everyday. beleive it or not the product we receive is far better than product from the UK, Not sure about germany (i can tell you 99% of products you think are made in germany/sweden/uk are in fact produced in the far east)

Well, believe me the "alignment and fitment" of after market lights/lenses is never as good as the OEM! I am talking from experience as well. Also, I have heard of many cases of the rear light lenses cracking from just moderately torquing the nuts and seals being poor allowing water to leak in.

I can't Believe it. They turned up this morning!!

They look the biz. I like to take the micky of ebay sales and I normally wonder why people take the risk on buying cheap - but when it comes to CLK rear lights in the UK we're not spoiled for choice! I'm seriously impressed. They arrived in three working days from the USA and the quality looks spot-on. I won't have any daylight time to fit them till Saturday, but I'll keep you all informed. God knows why the ebay seller lists them as smoked. I think 'Crystal Red/Clear' would be more fitting.

I'll try and post some before/after shots too.
